Bathsheba is very likely one of the most famous parts of our island. The waves at Bathsheba are almost always good, and International Competitions are held at the Soup Bowl in Bathsheba every year.
Many houses along the east coast are rented by locals and tourists alike who want to enjoy the scenic east coast and get away from the city hassle without going too far.
Overlooking Trents Bay, a small fishing village, is the Andromeda Gardens. Administered by the Barbados National Trust. These beautiful gardens, once privately owned now show off a magnificent array of tropical plants.
Much like a cross between the Andromeda Gardens and Welchman Hall Gully is the Flower Forest. There are seats and benches throughout this 50 acre site, nearly all of which is landscaped, with masses of flowering plants and tropical trees. All of the plants are labeled and a free guide sheet is offered on specific plants to look out for. Visitors to the Flower Forest can take their time and have a leisurely walk through the tranquil 'forest'.
